
STAC-J, together with the Tokyo International Exchange Center JASSO (TIEC JASSO) will held a forum featuring presentations from Filipino graduate students and foreign students residing in TIEC on Sept. 24, 2011. It will be held at TIEC, Odaiba.
This forum particularly aims to promote science and technology research, strengthen international relations and establish wide networks, giving emphasis to the importance of science and technology in furthering globalization and sustainable development. Experts from various fields of science and technology will share their contributions to their respective fields and after which everyone will have the chance to network while enjoying Filipino cuisine and refreshments.
Admission is free. Doors will open at 12:30 PM. The organizers will offer simultaneous interpretation from Japanese to English and vice versa during the event.

STAC-J successfully hosted a simple workshop on the basics of taking photos under its bi-annual project, Kapihan. Invited guest speakers Juan Paulo Gutierrez and Noli Fernan Perez shared their interests in photography and traveling to more than 20 participants in an afternoon of great camaraderie. The said activity was co-presented by PNB Tokyo.
